WHO WE ARE:
Sigma Alpha Epsilon stand together as True Gentlemen. As one of RIT's premier Greek organizations, we've defied common misconceptions about Fraternities from the beginning. We have never had a history of hazing and never will. We are not the Animal House you may have seen in movies. We are high achievers academically, having attained the distinction as having the highest Fraternity GPA two quarters running with a current chapter average of 3.19. Being the largest national Fraternity in the United States, Sigma Alpha Epsilon offers nearly $100,000 dollars in scholarships each year, and are only available to initiated members. We also strive to serve our community and local charities. The Children's Miracle Network and the Gilda's Club of Rochester are a couple of our favorites. We also annually support the Boy Scouts of America, our local ABVI-Goodwill and Foodlink. Job networking is extremely important these days in landing your ideal job. With nearly 300,000 members initiated nationwide, its very common to set up a job placement through Sigma Alpha Epsilon's internal social networking site, The Gentlemen's Circle. Brothers from all round the world constantly post job listings in a fashion similar to Monster.com for only fellow Brothers to see. New jobs in engineering, business, IT, and liberal arts are always being listed! As a social Fraternity, we like to have a good time beyond our studies and community service. We frequently attend sporting events, have barbecues, play video games, shoot pool, work out, just about any fun activity you can think of. Even if you have a less mainstream hobby or interest, we welcome that and encourage you to introduce SAE to it! Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE for short) are the gentlemen you can feel confident about and gladly invite you to join our Brotherhood and see what being a Fraternity man, not "Frat guy", is all about!
